Born in North Tonawanda, NY and raised in Tonawanda, Kevin is an Army Military Police Veteran, Traditional Martial Artist, former Personal Trainer, a Security Professional, husband, father, and proud Grandpa.
Officially beginning his martial arts journey in 1985, he would spend over thirty years teaching men, women, and children overseas and in the U.S. not only how to defend themselves, but to be warriors in life.

In 2010, Kevin would combine his faith in Jesus Christ with his love for martial arts, opening the first Red Shield Warrior program in the state of Florida through the Tampa Salvation Army.
Founded by Tang Soo Do Master Karen Eden, the Red Shield Warrior program teaches martial arts to underprivileged and at-risk youth in the community. With the assistance of Master Eden, Kevin would begin and run a very successful ministry, kicking off his first class with over 50 students!
Sadly, the program came to an end in 2012. Kevin continues to pass on the martial art of Tang Soo Do through his Udemy online courses, helping over 700 students in 43 countries.
Kevin has studied various martial arts over the years, but Tang Soo Do was always his core art. The arts he has studied are listed below in chronological order, with those he earned black belt rank in marked by an asterisk.

Beginning in 2014, Kevin would go through a series of injuries and surgeries that would severely affect his training, effecting his shoulders, knees, and eventually resulting in two total knee replacements in 2023. In 2025, Kevin is now focused on rebuilding his body and remastering his martial arts skills, and is currently working on his first book; Traditional Tang Soo Do: The Master Text.

Kevin resides in Tampa, Florida with his amazing wife Iris, and when he is not training or writing he can be found spending time with family and relaxing on Florida’s Gulf Coast beaches.
